About Dana Schlackman
My life is a world of cakes, sugar, and sweets as well as creativity, hard work, and passion. I am currently working as a pastry chef in a fast-paced cake shop in Brooklyn where I have been honing my skills as well as developing my voice as a pastry artist.
My goal is to combine art and technique in my pastries and baking.
As a graduate of The International Culinary Center’s Pastry Arts Program. I feel fortunate to have studied under Jacque Torres. I am a member of the last graduating class at ICC before their merger with the Institute of Culinary Education. The rigorous program taught me classic techniques as well as keeping abreast of modern trends.
